Short Stories

Here are several short stories that I've written and attempted to publish. I'm posting the ones that I feel most stuck on, as they represent works that I consider done. They are, as with all other content on the site, copyrighted by me.

In the Wilderness of God's Mercy

I have started to put short stories up. These are ones that I have submitted and have been rejected for the most part. Generally the rejections are nice, but they are still rejections. Have at them!
As a note. I may need to update the WordPress build so I can get some more functionality out of it, I may also add a fiction sub-domain for the short stories. As of right now, however, I'm just doing it through the current site's content management software.
The Nightmares Come While I'm Awake

This site collects my thoughts on horror, on what frightens me, and the (very) short fiction that plays those fears out.
I promise to try to keep the pretense to a minimum. Horror is a genre that fares poorly when mixed with pretense. Writing horror is the processes of discovering what you are afraid of—and why you are afraid of it. It doesn’t always have the power to remove that fear, or even alleviate it, but it can illustrate it and show us parts of ourselves we don’t want to see even though we need to.
