Dear Jane,
Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your wedding party. I wish I knew who the groom was—the man who lay down beside you is clearly not good enough for you, but I think he’ll be an excellent best man. I can’t believe that you picked me to be your maid of honor. I’ve prepared myself exactly as you told me to, and once this letter is sent I’ll go home and lie down. I know that they’ll take me to you in time for the wedding.
