Well Wishes at the Shrine

The city has relocated to here. The other shrines are empty, all as you have asked. We are waiting to receive you. Thank you for telling me that my little girl is all right. I know she’ll be a lovely flower girl.

Thank you for the food and the company. It is a wonderful wedding party.

I’m trying to make it perfect for you, but there is only so much to work with. I’ve arranged the letters into part of the decoration. It is like an impromptu guest book, at least I hope that’s how you’ll see it. There is a cold wind, but it seems right. Like it is cleaning up the streets in anticipation of the procession. The over cast sky doesn’t even seem to be an ill omen, it seems like a veil ready to be pulled back.

Do you think you can hide behind the pomp? I will have you, as I always have you.
*
It took me so long to decide to put the key back here. I know that it will go to good use if left among the trinkets and presents that others have placed. It has all been so confusing.

The tears are already coming; I always cry at weddings. I just keep picturing you, our beautiful Jane, married.
